This first gallery of the Art section is a tribute to what I consider a "masterpiece of the creative foolishness". When famous sculptor Stefano Bressani asked us to realize a celebrative image for the book dedicated to his first 10 years of activity, an image that was intimately linked to the equestrian world, our thoughts immediately ran to one of the most famous equine portraits in history, Napoleon crossing the Alps, Jacques Louis David's first tribute to Napoleon Bonaparte. With the exception of the scissors and the top hat, Stefano Bressani's distinctive signs, our challenge was to reproduce the paiting with a photographic and realistic key. Our very dear friends Ilario Dal Pietro and Nevio Lepre gave birth to, respectively, the hand-made bit and the hand-made headstall. I chose to pay a tribute to history by being as accurate as possibile, starting from the horse: we used a real Arabian horse given that Marengo (Napoleon's horse) was, in fact, Arabian. David, in my opinion, portraited a horse with Andalusian traits. Another difference between the 2 artworks resides in the light: in David's paiting it comes from left, in ours from right. The "craquelure" effect was created above what was intentionally left as a photo. I didn't give the image a declared painting effect, in order to keep and show its endless details.

In this section we collected some of the most creative equestrian fantasies we ideated over the years. From the tables created for our first book ARISE, to the tribute to the legendary Gunner | Colonels Smoking Gun through the art of the equally legendary Andy Warhol. Because loving horses, for a photographer, means not only to show them in their essence, but as well show them in his soul's eyes.
From our notorious passion for the Greek mythology, from the skill of our atelier, and from the desire to pay a tribute to Caravaggio's art, "Fate Calling" arises. An original image with an extraordinary evocative strength, realized for Christmas, 2017. Model and horse (World Champion ARC Magic Enterprise owned by Marco Mazzero) observe the battlefield with firmenss and ardor. The horse's head is down, extended forward, almost to protect his amazon from the imminent danger. In their eyes there is no fear or rage. Just the serene inevitability of fate.
"Fate Calling" represents the first of a series of images that will be realized to celebrate special events or occasions, and made available to the public in an extremely limited print edition through our store.
